Electric Pallet/Stacker Truck

All experience levels are catered for, our accredited course is designed to train delegates how to safely and efficiently operate the equipment in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Course Aim

To provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the hazards associated with operating such machinery including attachments. To have a working knowledge of how the various machines operate and to identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions, including weight limits, and to carry out an effective pre use check. 

Course Contents

Responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act, 1974, PUWER 98 & LOLER 98 , Operators Safety code , Re-charging of Electric Powered Pallet Truck , Pre-use checks , Factors affecting stability , Motive and hydraulic controls of the Powered Pallet Truck , Manoeuvring the pallet Truck in open and confined areas, Stacking at different levels De-stacking with laden and un-laden pallets , Working in and out of racking with the Powered Pallet Truck .

Certification

Delegates are required to demonstrate their competence by passing three seperate tests. The tests consist of a pre use check, associated knowledge test and a practical test of operating skills. Successful delegates will be awarded their Certificate of Basic Training which is valid for a period of 3 years.

Associated Knowledge Test (5 open and 20 multiple choice questions), Pre Use Test and Practical Test of Basic Operating Skills

Length of Certification: 3 Years

A Certificate of Training and ID card will be awarded to successful delegates, the course is accredited by either the RTITB or NPORS.
